The beach at the estuary of Koh Phangan's greatest waterfall and neighbouring the island's only National Park; a tropical wonderland of bohemian bungalows and chilled island vibes. This beach is located next to the famous Than Sadet Waterfall in Koh Phangan, visited many times by Thai royalty. Except from the sea access, one can reach Haad Sadet using the main road from Ao Thong Nai Pan. It looks beautiful, serene and unbelievably untouched, despite of a couple of bars and restaurants located on the beach.
Here the famous Than Sadet River meanders down the mountainside though the dense jungle and exits into the sea. White sand and crystal clear blue water make this a perfect place to relax far from the crowd. The neighboring smaller beach of Thong Reng boasts clear waters and a unique rustic feel of the old Koh Phangan.
It is a fairly small beach at the bottom of the river valley flanked by steep green hills. The sand is white and huge boulders crown the peninsulas that surround the cove.
The sea is deep enough for year round swimming, thought the waves can be rough. The southern peninsula splits the two beaches of Haad Sadet and Haad Thong Reng where Thaan Sadet river meets the sea.
